He got the ticket!

We found out today that Dan got his ophthalmology job! He placed high enough in the interviews to get our first choice. He'll be training as an eye surgeon in Sheffield starting in August. We are all so unbelievably excited, it is such fantastic news for us in so many ways. After the long road of medical school and foundation training, and many moves, we can finally start to plan our future more clearly and know that Dan's career is right on track.

Well done Dan we are so proud of you! All your hard work has really paid off.

Valentine

I'm feeling ever so slightly sorry for myself this evening. Dan has been working nights all week so I get the pleasure of my own company for yet another evening. This little pic cheered me up though. Amy asked for a Valentine lunch after flicking through the Asda magazine, and here's what we came up with; heart toast, heart cheese and a slightly weird heart face on the boiled egg (the egg incurred some life-threatening cracks after Amy got a bit too excited over the brilliance of my drawing skills and dropped it).
