Otley and mothers day

At the beginning of March the girls and I went on our first long expedition away from Lincoln. We got the train up to Otley and had a lovely few days with John, Hannah and Asher. Amy had some lessons from Uncle John in the art of sharing! On one of the evenings I got the chance to see Leeds West Academy production of CATS. Hannah was playing keyboard in the orchestra. The performance was really well done it was so nice to have my first evening out without the girls.

We all headed over to Nottingham for Mothers Day. It was great spending time with everyone. Needless to say the girls had a lovely time even though Dan had to work the weekend.

March

What a busy month! With over two weeks of holiday and various other trips, birthdays and events, March ended up being a very full and fulfilling month. Here are just a few odd photos that didn't fit in with the other events.

Helena's visit

At the end of February my good friend Helena came to stay with us for a few days. I'm so glad she managed to get the time off work, we had such a lovely time. Helena absolutely loves history so just loved being in a and around the old town and soaking up all the atmosphere.

Here are just a few pictures of the girls from February. I can't believe how much they have grown since being in Lincoln.

 Bobbie now likes to see what's going on outside the pram, so I prop her up. Although on this particular day I needed to use it more like a shopping trolley.

 I finally got around to making up Amy's jumper. I've only been working on it since Easter last year! Luckily it fits her well, with room to grow.

The final stage, knitting in the neck band. I'm so glad I finally got it finished. It felt like a real achievement as I've had it on the go for so long and it's my first attempt at a jumper. 

 Bobbie is quite a cheeky little thing. Her personality is really starting to come out now. She is always flashing me little gummy grins.

It's pancake day!

Well actually we forgot about pancake day, so it was actually an ash wednesday pancake breakfast. I seem to forget about all sorts at the moment, things have been very busy with Dan's work and looking after two little ones.

Isaac's Christening

After popping by church in Stamford with Dan's parents, we headed across to Hinckley for Isaac's christening. It was a beautiful drive across Rutland in the bright sunshine. I was surprized how hilly the countryside looked. I guess I've been living in flat old Lincolnshire long enough now for even the slightest incline to look quite big. We got there in good tiem for the service and Amy and Louie one of Anna's friends kids instantly hit it off, sharing their toys and generally just enjoying being around each other.

The service was lovely and Isaac was an absolute star!! Isaac was not concerned in the slightest as the vicar held him and gave a blessing for him. We were so glad we could be there for his special day. After the service we heading to Sam's parents squash club for the after party.

Amy was very excited to see a helicopter taking off from the neighbouring rugby club.

Amy and Louie played throughout the party having a great time. Bobbie ended up being passed around like parcel and as usual was totally fine with it.

We had a lovely afternoon with great food and great friends. Thank you Anna and Sam for letting us be a part of your littles boys special day. And just for the record, I had such a laugh with Sam's grandma, she is such a brilliant laugh.

Visit to Grandma and Grandpa

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Gosling's for the weekend. We were borrowing their car to get over to Isaac's christening in Hinckley. We enjoyed a sunny Saturday afternoon at the local park.
